On Sunday27 May Dorchester Marathon will pass though Tolpuddle. The Museum will be open as usual but there will be special parking and traffic arrangements in place for the day. The main road will be open to traffic heading Eastbound, with all visitors will approaching us from the West (through Puddletown). This means that visitors should come off the A35 dual carriageway at the Puddletown junction. You will re-join the A35 at the usual Tolpuddle junction approx. 1 mile to the East of the village. The A35 itself will be open both ways.
Parking on the street & laybays will be suspended but visitors will be able to park in the Festival field (immediately adjacent to the Museum at the Western end of the village). The entrance to this field is via a gate in the hedge approximately 500 metres before the Museum, situated between Burleston and the western end of Tolpuddle village as you approach from Puddletown.
