Every year, the Kids' Area crew provide an amazing range of recycled and nature-based crafts and collaborative games and activities for all ages to enjoy. We are pleased they join us online to provide more fun-filled activities for all the family throughout the weekend.

Friday 17th July

Storytelling with the woodcraft folk

4.00pm Storytelling (for 3-10 years)

Stories suitable for 3 - 10 year olds that centre on equality, cooperation and children's rights. 

Just come as you are.

Bring a snack and drink if you like.

Campfire stories

6.00pm Campfire stories (for ages 4-12 years)

Come and join Tracy around the Campfire at Cudham as she shares her favourite campfire stories. Suitable for 4-12 year olds. 

Just come as you are, bring a snack and a drink if you like. Marshmallows are always a favourite around the campfire.

All things T Quiz at Tolpuddle

6.30pm The All Things "T" Quiz (6 - 16 years)

Come and demonstrate your general knowledge with our T quiz. All rounds begin with T - turtle or tortoise, trade unions, teams, triangles and more. A bit of fun and learning for 6-16 year olds. Family teams encouraged.  
You can join via a computer, tablet or mobile phone. Just come as you are, bring a snack and a drink if you like.

How to make a bubble-maker

11.00am Make your own bubble-maker (6 - 12 years)

One of Woodcraft Folk’s festival favourites.

Join Jan and make your own bubble maker with this simple step by step instruction session.

Protest dolls

4.30pm Protest dolls (10 - 16 years)

Have your voice heard during this craft session.
Make your own protest doll using a clothes peg and anything you have lying around e.g. string, buttons, stickers or more.
During this session we will also explore topics and themes of interest to 10-16 year olds. To make your own protest doll, you will need a clothes peg or stick, a pen, paper, glue/tape and things to stick to your doll.

Campfire singing

6.00pm Campfire singing (for families)

Join Woodcraft Folk’s Georgia, Ghee and Pip as they share campfire and trade union songs.

Suitable for the whole family.

Just come as you are, bring a snack and a drink if you like. Marshmallows and hot chocolate are always popular around the campfire.

Comic heroes

4.00pm Cartoon heroes - create your own issue-based comic (9 - 16 years)

Create your own comic or zine during this interactive craft session.

Together we will explore children’s rights and the issues important to 9-16 year olds whilst we each create our own Hero or Comic.

You can join via a computer, tablet or mobile phone. You can choose to make your comic/zine/hero digitally or use paper and pens. If you prefer to produce a collage you will need scissors, glue and an old magazine.
