10.00 – 10.30 Cuba solidarity visit to Cuba

Ella Peters from the UNISON SW young members’ forum will be talking about her experiences when she joined the young trade unionists’ May Day brigade delegation to Cuba, meeting ordinary Cubans in their workplaces, communities, and trade unions.

Dariénne Flemington from UNISON SW LGBT+ member’s group will open the UNIZONE.

11.30 – 12.30 Trans ally workshop

Micheál Duffy from UNISON SW LGBT+ members’ group will facilitate this shortened version of the UNISON trans ally training course: learn how you can support your trans colleagues.

Dariénne Flemington and Paul Windsor from the UNISON SW LGBT+ members’ group will host an entertaining & informative quiz followed by a lively panel discussion.

14.00 – 14.30 Performance – Bertram: that Geezabird

Gender non-conforming hip-hop poetry, spreading joy and understanding and looking real cute doing it.

14.45 – 15.45 Bin-painting and placard-making workshop

Roberta Wakefield from UNISON SW LGBT+ members’ group will lead this fun and practical workshop: make your own banner to carry on the march on Sunday.

16.00 – 17.00 Performance – Frazer Aze

Frazer Aze is a young, queer, singer/songwriter from the South West and will be joined by his band mate Yuri on guitar.

Sunday 21 July

We will be joined on the march by the Bristol Sambistas samba band, so come and dance through the village with the UNISON bloc.
